About Land Speed
Land Speed Recording, based in metropolitan New York City and Jersey City, NJ, is a mobile recording "studio". Keeping our rig portable allows the studio to travel to the client, enabling us to work in a setting chosen by the musicians. We feel that by putting artists at ease, our chances of documenting an inspired performance are greatly improved. Our setup includes a powerful laptop along with high quality mic preamps, and Digidesign Pro Tools software. Land Speed's gear has been carefully selected to produce high fidelity recordings, in a relatively compact footprint.
L.S.R. is fully capable of recording many styles of music, e.g. rock, jazz, classical, etc.... We are well-suited to record at your home, rehearsal space, or at any live performance venue. If necessary, we can also work with you to find a suitable location for recording, usually at little or no extra cost, depending on your needs. We currently lease a near-soundproof rehearsal space in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn which can usually be made available at no extra cost with enough notice.
